Who would be interested in having some meet ups in the Adirondacks (ADK)?

We could do some hiking in the High Peaks, getting some of you started on doing your 46.

Lots of other places to check out in the ADK too (Northville Placid Trail is one option).

I am a member of the ADK Mountain Club so we have the option of renting a cabin or lean-to at the ADK Loj. I am also going to be wilderness first-aid certified over the summer so if something happens in the backcountry I will be able to help. Hopefully other people will have some experience at that too, if not that is OK. I want to use these meet ups as way to get some people involved /out/doors and as way to maybe introduce some to the ADK.

Anyone ever do all 46 high peaks in the ADK aka they are a 46er? I have 5 done, Algonquin, Iroquois, Marshall, Phelps, and Table Top. Looking to get all done within the next few years. In addition, I would like to do ski down as many as I can in the winter.
Also, how do you guys find girls who are into /out/ related things?

After you get back, go through your pack and separate things into 2 piles:

-One pile of things you ended up using

-Another pile will be everything you didn't end up touching

Afterwards go through that 2nd pile and pick out things you think you can get rid of from your base weight in your pack.

I hike on a somewhat regular basis with this guy I know. Normally he is a pretty quiet and reserved person, but once we're out hiking he opens up and you really get to talk with him. We usually go hiking in the High Peaks area in the ADK and at only 18 it is surprising how much he knows about the area and the ADK in general.
