If interested I can give a decent explanation of why, how and blah, blah, blah but I suggest you watch videos on how to use bandages in case of a snake bite and also practise that method a few times every year just so you remember it in time of need.
Better yet, just don't get bit. 99% of people who get bit by snakes, deserve to be bit.
Pic related. Its what I carry on me every time i'm out bush and I also have some in the car, house etc. You don't need to buy these specific pre-made packs, just get 3 bandages from any pharmacy will do job.
