I've been fishing soft lures a lot recently over rocky weedy ground on the south coast U.K mainly for bass, but seem to catch just wrasse if I'm lucky. I have picked up a lot of fishing lures over the last few years and generally just fish Texas style rigging for soft plastic worms and paddle tails.
I seriously could do with some help here as the spot I fish is supposed to be great for bass fishing but I've only ever caught 1 tiny bass here. I've fished all states of the tide and find that I get more bites from the flood at low tide, but I think it's wrasse biting as they seem to peck at the lures a few times before biting on properly.
Please give me some techniques for fishing paddle tails and worms.
