First knive I owned, I still remember the day my dad gave it to me, I was 5. I remember my mother shouting at him telling him how I was too young and I'd injure myself and all that.
Pretty cheap knife, but to a 5 year old it might as well be Excalibur.
Next up is an Opinel n8 Carbon blade. I won that in a lottery thing in a French town where they make opinels. You had to buy a hot dog/ice cream/other foodstuffs and tickets were given with the food. about 20 knives were given away. I remember beaming with joy when I heard my number being called out. kudos to my dad for buying my the ice cream (and thus my 2nd knife) I was around 8-9 (10 years ago) if I remember correctly.
3rd and 4th were bought years later (about a year from now) the opinel a n8 (my now fav, the size is great imo) Inox blade. The tip broke while I was 'cleaning' a large branch to make a walking stick. got stuck on a knot or something. tiny tiny piece flew off. Looked really dangerous so I went back to seller and she rounded the tip off (a bit too round to my liking) but she didn't charge me for it so meh fair enough.
I now use the Inox n8 for foodstuffs mainly, Carbon n8 for cleaning wood and carving and such and the big RUI for cutting branches, cleaning, other messy stuff ya know.
Anyway these are my knives, I'd like to buy another knife, no idea what model though, throw me ideas guys?
