Bushcraftwise: you can dig catholes with it, so it replaces the trowel. Otherwise it's suitable for most knife tasks.
It has a chisel edge. Some people don't like that. It suits me just fine.
The saw back is really aggressive, just draw it back and forth, the teeth do the work, don't push.
The one draw back is that it sucks for batoning. I've never batoned in my life other than practice. As everywhere i go has an abundance of squaw wood.
I think that batoning is kind of a gimmick, and if I were to go to a place where it was necessary, i'd pack a hatchet.
