The damn serac hanging there like the Sword of Damocles. Altitude over 8000m. Beautiful sunrise.

The Gasherbrum group, the Broad Peaks, Chogolisa.

We're gonna try to move towards the peak. Acclimatization is not the best but the weather is wonderful, gotta make use of it. Oh well, I'm out of here, it's not the best place to be having a chat. I'll try to shoot something when I get above the serac.

GPS shows 8205m. It feels a bit higher to me. I'm right under the serac. I'm feeling well [but on the way to the peak??] we're having a ridiculous situation. I don't think it ever happened on K2 before. There is a traffic jam ahead of me. Some Members [?] with oxygen.

This is what Bottleneck looks like, I just came out of it. This is the infamous traverse but it doesn't look particularly hard. Too bad I don't have a second ice ax. Maybe that would make it easier to overpass those ants walking ahead of me. Oh well, I'm gonna try something now because... [scene cuts]

It's an idiotic situation. It's 6 AM, 8300, so pretty good time and altitude. I'm feeling great. I'd like to go to the peak quickly and to get out of here quickly but we have a massive traffic jam ahead of us and it's not moving forward at all. I don't know if I should try overpassing on the side? The terrain isn't too difficult. They all hang by a thin rope that wouldn't have a chance to hold them anyway. It's completely surreal. A serac hangs above my head. At least the weather is beautiful, but I'm really not happy about that. Instead of climbing I'm standing in the line like some retard. Ridiculous situation.

Such a view we have from 8200 metres at K2. We just can't climb.
