No one thinks that Sweden's 157k sq mi of forest or the SW's 140k sq miles of forest are anything other than what they are, huge fucking forests. You get hung up on diversity shit and are still wrong on that, as any forest in the world consists of maybe 5 dominant species in the majority of its area, even if it has 100s of total species, CA and AZ have more tree species than TN and KY and get this, more total forested area than either of those states total land areas individually. You also are severely delusional about satellite pics vs on the ground when it comes to stand density.
