are totally right. some of the /out/ists will shit on it for being camo, having MOLLE capability, and not being made of some material you have to google.

however, it's basically the arcteryx bora 95, with a thicker material and militarized. the good thing about MOLLE is that you can put a bunch of things on it. not just tacticool bullshit.

the pack itself is made to carry 120 lbs of gear.

you however, may not be made to carry 120 lbs of gear, so be careful.

look for a guy named "warstore" on ebay to get one. the guy is honest as fuck, and has good prices. it's where i prefer to get mine.

here's my overall perspective on the system:

most people here will tell you that you can get lighter bags. so fucking what? i'd rather have a tough bag than a light one and mitigate my weight otherwise. the cost of this bag for all it's features and volume is a fraction of what you would spend on a commercial bag... and it's tougher.

usually you're right. however proper makes some solid shit. the design was by arcteryx, but proper had the manufacturing contract.
