Well I'm out almost every day taking samples for school. Mostly do work involving trees (majority are coniferous) , water, soil, air some rocks and benthic invertebrate specimens. Leave most of it in the lab/storage but every once in awhile if I find something really cool I bring it home.
I really do try to leave things as they are unless there is a purpose to take whatever it is. Have a pretty decent insect collection that I collected myself and preserved.
