>>2248087Fishing rod will work. A topwater lure might snag em but I like to use a slip bobber with a treble hook under it and the weight on the bottom. Helps drag the hook into their feathers and you can mend the line over the bird if you botch the cast a little. Pic related is my retriever rig.
