Archaeologist here. This thread makes me sperg out but I know no one cares so whatever. At least anonymously tell someone where you found it if its on public land and please don't dig into sites. If it's on the surface or in a disturbed area like a creek or whatever it likely won't tell us much anyways but it is still good to know where stuff is being found. And for the love of god, please don't deface petroglyphs.
