>>2520734You're fucking up by buying directly from the individuals, go to a pawn shop and if you live in an area with a strong fishing community, you'll find they're perpetually overstocked with fishing gear. The people with the overvalued gear, sell it and get heartbroken by a store that says "We already have too much fishing gear as it is, I'll give you $30 both your reels" then you walk in and jew the store down who just wants to see that shit gone for a bit more than they paid.
Individuals will just see you as a cheap bastard if you aren't willing to pay what they want for their precious gear, pawn shop employees don't know or care much about fishing, they just see a customer who wants a deal, unloading their stock.
