>>2471317Get some of these from Walmart... but when it comes to panfish, the time of year makes lots of difference when it comes to where they are located. Most people think they are everywhere along the bank all the time, but that's not true. The tiny ones might be, but not the bigger ones. You gotta find where they are at during each season. They are only easiest to catch all over the bank in spring near spawn. Hot summer, they're usually under overhanging tree-lined banks where it's shaded almost all day long. That's for ponds anyways, because they don't have as many large dropoffs and stuff like in lakes. Different species act differently too, and prefer different techniques. Green sunfish ambush almost anything, but like moving lures. Bluegill(from my experience) like slow sinking stuff and can hang out in deeper pools. The other sunfish species fall somewhere in between.
