Killed it today! I brought home 4 rainbows and ate 2 and have 2 in the freezer with the head and guts removed until I can improve my fillet skills. I caught 6 but gave the first one away because it swallowed the hook and was bleeding all over,I knew it was going to die if I ripped it out but the guys said they are all going to die because they all swallow the hooks. The next one I caught didn't swallow the hook so I put him back then I just started keeping them. I didn't come prepared to harvest today but I had a kind of cooler bag with 2 frozen water bottles and 2 ziploc bags to keep my worms cool so I just put them in there and they were fine.
This was the first time I've ever killed my own food--it made me a vegetarian. J/k, it wasn't bad at all and they tasted delicious! Thanks for the tips guys!
