>>1830668 I recommend SOTO for a reliable water boiling and basic backpacking cooking set-up. I personally use a cheap Chinese amazon stove now, specifically the BRS-3000T. It's tiny and light as fuck and performs exactly the same as my SOTO, and costs a fraction of the price. Some claim the arms bend but I think that's just a result of trying to put a heavy pot/pan on it. It's really only designed for small aluminium or titanium pots.
You definitely don't need a full jetboil set, I feel like they are a bit of a meme, but I've never known anyone who's had one fail on them.
