speaking of lanterns, how come its so fucking hard to find a quality electrical lantern? It seems there are only 'hobbyist' at CPF who make simple, long lasting lanterns. The one exception is the countycomm 'TTL STROBE', which is, as the name hints at, more an emergency strobe(But features a low mode that works for 500+ hours, and the optics design to allow 360 degree lighting)
I'd *LOVE* something that uses a single cell that is pocketable, has a really long run time, and provides 360 degress of coverage. Not in america so i cant order the countycomm one(and also think its quite overpriced for what it is).
Does anyone here have alternatives?
I know i could get a dome defuser, but since the emitter in all my flashlights(and all conventional ones) is set back in the head to reflect of the dome reflector, those ones obviously dont provide very good coverage.
Thanks.
