Most polar bears are killed by poachers where they get the drop on the polar bear and manage to hunt it and take aim while the Polar bear is out and about. Very different from the way we would shoot a bear.
Us... on the other hand, aren't poaching of hunting bears, we might accidentally stumble near one with its cubs and we'll only get 2-3 shots off at most at such close range and unexpected encounters which lead to animal attacks. t
Better make em count by having it be a bullet that will RELIABLY penetrate the vitals.
