One thing I do like is the SpiderWire Flouro-Braid or whatever it is. It still frays because SpiderWire but they had a 300yd spool of 10lb in the clearance bin at Bass Pro for like $15 and I grabbed it. Put it on that Okuma reel and it's not as heavy and doesn't sink like actual flouro but it feels closer to mono and makes stuff swim near mono depths or a little deeper instead of regular braid.

For anon not getting any fish- start going for panfish and find those good spots and eventually you will find where the bass are chilling. Depending where you are, you should have some hungry pre-spawn bass hanging around soon.
