I think his system worked in his context because he had access to flooding his field and immense rainfall that allowed for seed balls to germinate.
Chaos gardens seem to work in small scale systems like a backyard garden but in a larger operation where you need to have a specific amount of a certain crop grown at a certain time for market the unknown nature of broadcasting seed doesn’t seem to fit.
There was an autist in here before that was shitting his pants that you cannot build soil fertility with anything but plants and I get that. My mindset right now is to cycle beds between meticulous planting and cover cropping. I don’t know…
