But think about it, going downhill with all of that weight you could generate a fuckton of power and the generator also helps to slow the vehicle down so you won't burn out the breaks. And then use that same battery power to get up the next hill. If the system is really efficient and you use like zero mechanical brakes and the generator takes over completely, then theoretically you could get like the same gas mileage going up and down those hills towing 5000lbs as you could without towing anything.
