I've had nothing but good experiences with them. Turned the corner on a trail in North Georgia and literally scared the shit out of a black bear cub. It was taking a shit right on the trail and it bolted while it was still droppin deuces. Looked around for mama and she was about 100 yards in a small ravine with another cub. She was chill, got up on her hind legs and just checked me out. I backed up and gave them 10 or 15 minutes to continue on their way.
Saw a good size black bear in Yellowstone from about 300 yards. Nothing special, was kinda neat. It was just lying down and a few people were taking pictures and hoping to see it. It ended up getting up and scratching it's back up against a tree. Was pretty funny. Reminded me of Baloo from The Jungle Book. Here's a pic of Baloo's little brother from a ways away unfortunately.
