It's a provided fireplace only camp, but the wood was provided. The hot water showers aren't. If you go to Jervis Bay, ask for the Bristol Point campground-- their hot water showers are actually hot.
Being the off-season, the better parts of the Greenpatch camping ground were gated-up, which meant I was stuck in with all the caravanners and their noisy family camps. :/
Had to wander off to a dark section of the campground to find an unused BBQ. Lighting the fire had to be done completely from scratch– with just an axe, a single lump of wood (that had to be split in stages over 20 minutes down to tinder-level), some paper, and matches– but I managed to get it going on the first attempt. The night’s dinner: sausage sandwiches. I didn’t have any tomato sauce, so I used a packet of condensed tomato soup.
