What Berkley rod is it? I really like that Berkley Lightning Rod Shock. Same price as Ugly Stiks but I think they are much better for lure fishing. Ugly Stiks are good for stuff like your catfish rod where you will just be flinging heavy rigs, but I'm over them for lure fishing. Not a big fan of the action.

If you sign up for the rewards card, they also send emails with deals. They always have those "flash sales" on Thursdays and the only way to know about them is through the emails. Plus the Dick's I went to last weekend didn't have sale signs on a bunch of their stuff even though they had BOGO half off on all Rapalas, Zooms, Yamamotos, and Lunkerhunts. Only reason I knew about it was the emails.
Plus Dick's has great clearance stuff a lot. After Christmas, all of the stores reset a bunch of stuff in the fishing area and I grabbed a bunch of stuff for cheap. And not just random strange lures, they had a lot of those KVD soft baits I like, plus terminal tackle like hooks, jigheads, weights, and then a bunch of spinners and jigs. Pic related.
