>>1126570From VA. The Upper James has muskie and smallies. If you want good smallie action, drift the Scottsville area. If you want to catch a muskie, Eaglerock or Clifton forge area is the ticket. The lower James has blues, flatheads and striper. Try the city of richmond, abundant spots for shorefishing.
The New is loaded full of muskie. Has big smallies as well. Pretty much any section is good. For numbers of Smallmouth, the North Branch of Shennandoah can't be beat.
For trout, the Jackson River, Bull Pasture and Cow Pasture rivers are where its at. They are bigger than the puny streams you were talking about. Now till May is good time to fish any of these places.
