>>1166920Stay on the throttle. If you feel yourself starting to trench out... avoid the temptation to "pin and wiggle" - usually results in just digging a bigger trench to get unstuck'd from. If you're not totally trenched in, a tug on a ski or throwing the ass end over a few feet will usually get you going again.
If you're on a slope, stop facing downhill. Won't trench out when you get going again, and if you do blow the track all you'll need is a quick ski-tug to get out.
On the flats, if you can, park in a track. Might need to circle around and park in your own track.
Generally, "work smarter not harder" when you do get stuck. Use gravity to your advantage where possible.
Sometimes you'll be there for a few hours. Happens to someone in our group about once a year.... whether it's in trees on a hill, creek bottom/water, sled off a cliff, whatever.
