So I am new to using knives. Just started carrying a swiss army knife every day 2 months ago. I have yet to sharpen it and recently bought 2 more knives online for cheap. (Opinel 7 carbon and Svord peasant knife)
I have tryed to sharpen the svord as it came completely dull pretty much and cant get it to do anything. I have watched a shitton of videos but every time I try to sharpen it it just feels like it is getting duller and duller.
This is my only current sharpening stone. Should I buy a normal flat sharpening stone?
Any tips? Shit is discouraging and I don't want to fuck up my swiss army knife blades.
What kind of cheap cutlery can I practice on? Kitchen knives from dollar store?
