The boots on the left are a pair of irish setter "Upland Hunting Boots" I've had for about a year. These are what I now primarily use when I go out. They're not made for dedicated hiking, but I often find myself wandering off trail exploring and camping so I decided I wanted something a little more heavy duty. It definitely can get a bit hot in the summer but these boots have survived being drowned in mud, rivers, and snow. Very comfortable and have kept my feet dry. The pair on the right are a pair Thoroughgoods. I've had them for about two years through a mix of situations similar to the Irish setters as well as a year of school-and service- as my duty boots for Fire/EMS work and they have held up exceptionally well being that I wore them almost every day for a year straight. They kept my feet dry and comfortable the entire time, but I would still prefer the irish setters for /out/ activities.
