The skids will be 2" diameter pipe just thrown on the ground. If/when it rusts out I'll just weld another one on. Ideally I'd like to come up with some truck axles and just make them into trailers so i can move them around or maybe build some for the family and to sell.
If i can get the mineral rights to my land or my buddy's father will let us drill we'll have natural gas for all of the heat and electricity generation we should ever need. There's a local greenhouse running about 250,000 square feet of space over 90% on natural gas alone. My land is in the same gas pocket. My best friend used to own the oil lease next door and there is a gas well 200 feet from my property line. It'd be pretty cool to get my house off grid without sacrificing anything anyway. And at that point assuming I'm not an absolute failure I'd finally be able to quit my job and run my own business.
