>>467290>They are Rat Tang (not full tang)You do understand that a rat-tail tang (the proper term) knife can be full tang as well, don't you? Look at a Camillus or Ontario PSK or the infamous Ka-Bar or the Case Leather Hunter knives. Here's an Old Timer Woodsman and a Case Leather Hunter. The Old Timer has an exposed tang and slab handles. The Case has a hidden stick (or rat-tail, if you prefer) tang with stacked leather washers making the handle and a pommel pinned to the tang to hold the washers in place. Both are full tang knives. Full, 3/4, half, and quarter tang are references to the length of the tang, not the width, what some idiot teenybopper bushcrafter put on wikipedia notwithstanding.
And I want a Mora, I just haven't decided which one. I'm thinking something with a thin blade in carbon steel (stainless would be OK, but I like a patina) with a loud plastic handle. Any suggestions?
