Portland has a company called otter wax that seems to be most recommended as a quality wax as others tend to use paraffins. I believe wax garments have increased durability.

I dont know if nylon has same health problems. Its more durable than polyester, but in a Nyco doesnt dry as fast as a polycotton and is much louder. A lot of the year I can just get away with shorts. 100% cotton takes a day to dry though, ane since you usually need carhartt weights to achieve the same durability (10-15 oz schaefer brush cloth) it takes forever.
