>>2231800On the storing it in a glass jar, before I forget. At one point I reused a jar that had previously stored Dunhill's Aperitif - a nice Scottish pipe blend. Despite cleaning it out with hot water and soap, I came back to the jar a month later to find the top layer of the snuff had picked up the remnants of the pipe tobacco. Which is cool, but not what I wanted. It was probably from the rubber(?) sealing compound on the metal disk that makes the lid retaining the smell. So either buying a pack of new jars, buying new lids, or giving the lids a fair while to air out is what I'll be doing next time.
