>>1192719Yeah it’s not exactly my ideal idea of fishing. I tried going at the start of the season before all the out of town fags show up and I had huge sections to myself. Only issue was I had no clue what I was doing at the time. Then my fly rod kept breaking so by the time I got a new one the fish looked like the pic I posted above. Sticking to the fly fishing only section certainly thins out the crowds but it’s still too crowded to really enjoy the water.
I’m surprised you wear still smelling the salmon in december. I was up there mid December for the first time I tried for steelhead and there wasn’t a single salmon carcass or hint of fish at all.
I’m excited to see what it will be like this coming end of winter steelhead fishing
