Since I'll be planting tomatoes in the next day or two I started assembling an overhead string trellis support by adding two joist hangers to posts from my neighbor's old gazebo and cutting a 2x4 to join them. I painted the 2x4 black and its drying before I screw it in. The posts connect to the base plant via 2 threaded tabs, so they can tilt side to side a bit in one direction. I oriented the plates so that movement would be in line with the 2x4 which should minimize movement.
