seed onions are a bitch man. if they dont like your soil they can be a bitch to you and get ill and tiny, but theyre pretty tough to kill. ive heard horror stories.
if you dont want the hassle or have other intensive spring plants to take care of then just buy bulbs. but once they set and are happy they take care of themselves. i should also note im in 3a.
i only do it because im a poor and cant afford bulbs lol
