Guerrero is in the middle of a three way civil war. The neighboring state isn't bad at all. Things are very localized. Would it make sense to say the US is fucked because some hipsters in Portland are rioting? No, because what happens in Portland is so far from say San Diego that it might as well not be happening. It just comes down to knowing where not to be. For example, I was in Mazatlan when el chapo got captured, and yeah things were rowdy and if I were a hot blonde chick I'd have been in trouble. But if you're a confident dude with some street smarts, you're fine. I didn't go into el salvador for a reason. Living the expatriate life isn't for me, but you can make the dollar go a LONG way, even in tropical paradises like belize.
I've been taking pictures my entire life, traveling is no different. But where does traveling become homelessness -- is there a cut-off? Had no home for a couple years so I traveled, did that make me homeless?
