ok guise never posted here before but I love the idea that we have a general for peppers, I mean plants
how do you deal with this fucking thing? --> powdery mildew
I mean I tried pretty much everything ranging from preventive to curative fungicides, hell I've even sprayed orange juice in the leaves cause I heard it works, and it does until this fucking piece of shit appears again days/weeks later, no matter what I try it'll always come back
I get it, I might kill the thing but it's spores are roaming free in the air/surfaces ready to germinate and fucking cover my leaves in fungus flour once again
so my real question is, why do these spores germinate in the first place? what range of day/night temperatures and humidity are ideal for this thing to proliferate in my garden? and one specific question I've been noggin about the last couple weeks: maybe it has something to do with overwatering my plants to some degree? I mean overwatering -> more humidity -> more root pressure -> more accumulation of water in the plant and in the air -> more of an ideal environment for mildew to proliferate on my leaves? does this make sense 100%?
also, is it a good idea to remove infested leaves? I feel like for every leave I remove I'm actually scattering millions of spores around
