>>2793824The quality of the packs is generally good, but depending on the model there are may be some points of failure. I did have a Trail 38L, where after 5 years of use the right strap, which I use to shoulder it, became really floppy and loose. This was because the foam in the strap got too compressed due to always having to take the full weight, everytime I shouldered or took off the pack. It didn't change anything in practice, only aestheticically. But maybe check the straps in person a see if they seem durable enough for the weight you want to carry or for which the pack is intended for. The older deuters, like pre 2018 never had this problem. I still have a futura from 2016 or so that looks brand new and has thick straps that will.last a lifetime. The bottlesm holders also are more durable too. Specifically the elastic for the bottles on the 38L was starting to become loose. I think eventually I would have lost bottles, but I just sold it. But almost all modern packs have this shit elastic bottle holders with mesh now. I will say, they have a very good repair service though, according to family members.
My question, why do you want a net system at 50L? The system is nice for small packs, but once you get up in weight, say 30L n up, a full contact back system is way nice due to better weight distribution. Id recommend the Air Contact line. Looks similar to my old Trail 38, which had an excellent carrying system (comfort and weight transfer wise) and even had good air circulation despite not having a net.
