And being a scoutleader for 3 years now. I've removed lots of ticks from the kids aswell. So I guess you've been lucky anon. Generally when you're fast enough in removing them, you're fine. I've only had one scare that happened last month when I didn't notice any tick, but did get a red circle around what looks like a mosquite bite on my arm one day, and the day after what looked like a bruise. But 3 weeks after the fact and totally fine.
