So, I brought some onions a while back. I was going to eat them, but never got around to that. You know how it goes. Anyway, I noticed one of them has started pushing out some green shoots. First, I was going to just throw it out, but I'm a little bit tempted to let it grow. I was wondering if anyone here could give me any info on just how hardy these things are. Is it going to survive if I just steal some dirt out of the neighbor's flowerbed and keep it in a pot near a window, or is it going to require some special maintenance?
