>>2052895In my opinion, a bivy is the best lightweight stealth option. It is also much faster to set up than a tarp or tent. A hammock is another good light option and it would protect against bugs if you get one with a bug net. However, it is not as good for stealth. An advantage of a bivy, and hammock but a little less because it needs trees is that you can camp anywhere with them. As long as there is space for your body to fit you can do it. I have an OR alpine bivy but depending on your climate you may want one with more mesh-like the Borah bivy this annon metioned
>>2052841. With a bug bivy, u need a tarp which also kind of removes the stealth option. I like having a poncho to use as a tarp if I want but I like to have the ability not to.
