For the cordage something high visibility or some flagging tape.
A means of navigation or backup navigation yes you can use a stick watch or basic flora to point you but a compass just works.
I am a fan of bank line but the cordage will cover that although you might consider some duct tape and electrical tape.
Tights or pantyhose trimmed down will work for a filter and can be made into a small sack for transport of materials.
A condom or bag can be used for water additional water transport.
I will assume you will be boiling water for purification.
I am not getting into a fishing/birding kit but you might look into some hooks.
Some space saving ideas you might look into are for some items drinking straws can be cut down and sealed.
Also they do make smaller pencils.
