I'm usually carrying either camera with tripod, or fishing gear. I suck at fishing, and sometimes it's too cloudy for night photography. Was searching a bit for last few days about spoon carving/kolrosing, seems like fun thing to try out - just need to get 1 or 2 new knifes and I'm almost always bring saw with me either way. Just I'm not completely sure if wood must be prepared. Some people use dried wood blocks.. Would cutting some thicker branch on the spot and carving it work? Since carrying dried out wood blanks with me to the forest seems kinda silly.
