The truck owner believes himself to be "progressive" to do embrace this but it's actually is regressive. Indeed, a retreat from anything that makes us human. It places us at a lower level than animals. This truck, rather than have the intent of showing that country-people aren't backward hillbillies, actually does show that the guy who owns it is very backwards, depraved and quite the hillbilly, more so than any of the ones adhering to so called conservative beliefs.
