>>1904552>>1903087hammock systems aren't that heavy. my setup is about 3 lbs. an ENO singlenest hammock (great but pricey), a lightweight WOODS brand tarp from Canadian Tire, and 2 lengths of heavy boat rope for suspension. I also carry six tent pegs for the guylines and a bundle of 550 paracord to suspend the tarp.
I strongly suggest finding a waterproof bivouac sack if the temperatures go around 10C or lower or if rain is expected.
