I have only lived on the coast so idk how the interior is like. Only people who where xtra tuffs are thots and tards. Buy rubber boots from Vinkingwear, bought my last 3 pairs from them and they are the best. If you really enjoy it in Alaska and want to stay try to get a job as a deckhand on a boat. Its hard work but it can pay very well if its a good year.
