>>2023291You're right on the money it's a ww2 usmc medic's bolo. Its a thick, heavy boi in that sweet zone between big knife and small machete. Just about the thickest knife ive ever seen. Been searching for the right tool to replace a belt axe/hatchet for hunting/camping in northeastern woodlands that excels at splitting firesticks, delimbing trees/animals, and splitting a bear/bucks brain bucket. So far its the only serious contender. The engineer bolos in the pic are even more vicious choppers but may be too heavy and encroaching on small forest axe territory. have to experiment more.
