>>1035412I've always wanted to guide rivers, but I feel that there is a degree of arrogance that NOLS instructors have about outdoor recreation and medicine. I wouldn't want to be indoctrinated into guiding the way they are. They have all been nice, and they do know a lot, but they are also stubborn about listening to things that have been taught differently to other people by other groups. I do respect the organization, though.
