I bought a pair of Magnum Scorpion today for $100 AUD.
I bought them purely because I needed a new pair of shoes, liked the aesthetic and I'm sick of spending money on shitty canvas shoes that fall apart in six months.
After doing a bit of research I can see that as a brand Magnum are rated pretty decently, the UK army chose the desert version of these boots for standard issue. The few reviews I can find for them say they stand up pretty well to general wear and tear. Have I been ripped?
What makes a good boot anyway? I bought a pair of hiking boots last EOFY and while they're comfortable, I haven't really worn them all that much and part of them is starting to rip off the heel . I spend a solid chunk on them, probably $150 down from $250 or something.
>How do I go about choosing my next pair, which I want to last a long, long fucking time.
