>>2012129I usually need a double to triple wide boot myself. I've had the best luck with redwing Irish Setter boots. I have two pairs. One are the Elk Trackers, they are a heavier winter boot that I use more for late season hunting when I'm not moving around much. Got a 14 wide in those. I usually ware a 13 wide but go up a size since I wear thick wool socks with them.
For early season and general hiking I use the Upland Wingshooter style 807 pic related. They are not insulated though they are full leather, and have a gortex lining making them waterproof. This also traps in a good amount of heat being leather with the lining. The toe is enforced but it is not steel tipped so keep that in mind. So long as I'm walking I've never noticed my feet get cold in them. Standing for hours in one spot can be chilly when weather drops under 40F. I got mine on sale for around $150. Sometimes sporting goods stores will have them for cheaper. I know my brother got a pair for $95 on clearance. I got mine from a redwing store though and they usually only do deals a couple of times a year like black friday.
