Or if you have money buy a cabin FAR FAR away from any major town and go there in the summer. The people aren't that friendly. The job market is just as bad as the lower 48 unless you sign up with a union and don't expect any advancement. People treat you like crap if you weren't born in Alaska, natives are racist towards everyone, even other natives. The 2-3 month summers just don't make up for all the crap you put up with in the winters.
